Heros Unite, but keep you hands out of my Pockets

I am far from a fan of moving, and I have had to do it too many times in the last few years. It just seems to be a part of life doesn't it? Be it for money, convenience, or just necessity. I always hope for one thing, that it will be the last time. I think that this time will last considerably longer than the others.

So, it appears I'm on the holiday rant again. The heart shaped box just closed and now we'll move onto the next money grab. Valentines Day is when we express our feelings for one another, and to do this we buy them gifts. Is anyone else noticing a trend?
"It's a holiday tomorrow."
"Really? I guess that I'll have to go to the bank and get money out"
From now on we should just have a monthly "Give out Money Day." It would make more sense than naming them after religious people or events. I'm not saying that all of the holidays are bad, just the ones that have mascots associated with them. Maybe we need to put them all together in a new group? Like the "Holiday Hero League." It can be the new Marvel comic book. Santa, Cupid, the Easter Bunny, and a Leprechaun fighting crime and taking peoples money all over the world. Stan Lee would jump on that in a second, he's just that crazy. Ok, let's try this another way. Santa, Cupid and the Easter Bunny walk into a bar. Cupid goes up to the Bartender, "Do you have any grapes?" Ok, so it's kind of an inside joke but I really couldn't come up with anything else.

So, have any of you been keeping up with the war? I'm not talking about George W's ego trip, I'm referring to the the HD format war. For about 2 years two different options for High Definition movies, HD-DVD and Blu-Ray, have been battling it out to talk over for DVD for your movies and storage media. Well, after an interesting contest, HD-DVD has fallen. Toshiba, the company behind HD-DVD, announced that it would stop supporting the format. It certainly sucks to be those that dished out cash for the players and movies on HD-DVD, for now they have some expensive coasters and a very pretty paper weight.

I have been living at my new place for a few weeks now, and as much as I hate moving things are going quite well. We pay a fraction of what we were paying, which was one of the main reasons I moved. The other was that my woman was going with or without me. Should have told her that I would flip her for it, but then she would threaten to take my mac or something.

How many of you of you read Web Comics? I think I have at least 10 that I try to keep track of. One of which is Looking For Group. It has it's basis in a reality similar to World of Warcraft, yet it follows its own path of hilarity. I am not going to go into the details of the story, I'll leave that for those that may interested to discover. I will say though I do not spend my money on things unless I enjoy them to a large degree. I have many LFG items, some which are limited edition.

I'm out of things to say for the moment, join me next time when I rant, rave or just mumble about whatever is going around in my head.
