Falling to Wake Up

So, it seems that no one likes the comments feature on the blog here. Lucky, I have promoting myself on Facebook. I thank you friends, for your thoughtful words. I have the two of you to thank for my continued ambitions. I will dis-continue the BS and come back to reality for a bit. I think that a lot of the people that know me are aware that I am simply bored and decided this was a good way to pass the time. Speaking of reality . . .

How many of you remember your dreams? Not too many I would guess. I tend to have some flashes of the dream after waking, they don't last long either. My GF does remember a lot of her dreams, and there are some crazy things bouncing around in the pretty head of hers. The question is what is it that allows some people to remember their dreams and others not to. I would guess that it could be anything from being male or female, to how you were raised, or just plain genetics. Also, waking dreams, where you realize that you are dreaming and abuse it for your own amusement. I have yet to experience this first hand, at least as far as I know :( There are some other of thoughts about dreaming that I would like to comment on.

"Or is life a dream by some other being?"

That is actually something that I wrote some time ago, but it certainly brings up a interesting prospective on things. What if we are not real at all, but the unconscious thoughts of someone else. Well, maybe something else would be better suited there. This isn't a discussion that I have taken up with anyone to my knowledge, but these are the kinds of discussions that a friend and I would get a heated argument over. You Know Who You Are!! The thought itself, I believe, started from and episode of Star Trek TNG, I think you know the one I'm talking about.

"Create an adversary capable of defeating Data"

Remember that? That episode was shown in 88. Almost 20 years ago. In that episode, the statement caused the Enterprise computer to give Moriarty (a hologram) sentient thought. Of course it wasn't until he came back years later that when he manged to take over the ship did the previous idea come to me. They stopped Moriarty by putting his program into a self contained computer module to keep him happy with an endless supply of adventures. At the end of that episode they were discussing the idea of them all being on a holodeck and their entire lives were nothing more than a computer program. Twisty little minds we have.

Deja vu comes to my mind sometimes when I think of dreaming. To me it isn't like the same black cat walked by the doorway thing. Anytime I experience Deja Vu, it seems like I had dreamed it earlier in my life. Am I alone in this? Come to think of it, I have been going around this whole thing the wrong way. If I do have premonitions in my dreams, than I have to stop worrying if I am the only one that it happens to. What I have to do is calibrate it so I can use for financial gain. Wait, I think i may have experienced this before.

Maybe next time I'll bring up a theory that someone from my high school had. It was about how we view colors. I wonder is she remembers, I wonder if she ever reads this. I wonder what I will have for supper tonight.
